To my mind, the single most wonderful thing, and also, the most important thing, about a colour photograph is the way that the colours are rendered. Of course, we need to photograph a captivating subject and we need to frame a thoughtful composition, but otherwise, the colour palette has a profound impact on how our image is perceived. I made my photograph of this little golf green to emulate the kind of look that might be achieved using a 'Toy Camera', using a nostalgic filmic palette and a heavy vignette.
